EMMA MARCELLANA
Program Coordinator and Volunteer
Born and raised in San Jose, California, Emma Marcellana is
captivated by dance, blending artistry and advocacy
in her choreography and performances.
Ms. Marcellana crossed paths with Wonder Youth Foundation
in 2022 and is a community member and avid volunteer.
Emma is a first-year student at USC's Kaufman School of Dance, training under Jackie Kopcsak, Ebony Haswell Frazier, Patrick Corbin, d. Sabela Grimes, and Bret Easterling. Emma received her primary training at Bay Area Dance School in Northern California and danced professionally with Presidio Dance Theatre in San Francisco. She also attended summer intensives at Ballets Jazz de Montreal, The Juilliard School, Washington Ballet, Bolshoi Ballet Academy, and Alonzo King LINES Ballet under faculty and guest teachers including Alexandra Damiani, Alicia Graf Mack, Mario Alberto Zambrano, Bobbi Jene Smith, Houston Thomas, Madi Hicks, Francisco Gella, Julie Friedrich, and Zak Ryan-Schlegel. She is extensively trained in ballet, jazz, modern, contemporary, jazz funk, and acrobatics.
During her competitive years, she was awarded 1st runner-up NYCDA Nationals Senior Outstanding Dancer, Teen and Miss Dance of California titles and received Dance Masters of America awards. In her free time, Emma enjoys modeling, teaching, and choreographing, constantly seeking new avenues to express her creative vision.
