Casey Murray

Casey Murray is a Los Angeles-based artist originally from Mill Valley, California. An alumni of the USC Glorya Kaufman School of Dance, Casey utilizes his fluency in hip hop and contemporary styles to elevate his repertoire.
Mr. Murray joined Wonder Youth to share his passion for dance and choreography on a global scale through performance, teaching, and creative collaboration.
He began his dance training at Roco Dance, Bay Area Dance School, and Studio V, where he developed a strong technical and versatile foundation. From a young age, he trained in a wide range of hip-hop styles, including breaking, popping, locking, waving, animation, and house. While training in Los Angeles during high school, he developed a passion for contemporary dance and began integrating ballet, modern, and jazz into his repertoire. Casey began teaching at age 15, an experience that shaped both his artistic voice and leadership skills. He is driven to explore all facets within the dance and entertainment industries, drawing inspiration from his interests in film and music.
Casey earned his BFA from the University of Southern California Glorya Kaufman School of Dance, performing works by renowned choreographers such as Jiří Kylián, Merce Cunningham, Paul Taylor, Peter Chu, Hope Boykin, Barak Marshall, Ohad Naharin, and Jermaine Spivey. He completed a minor in entrepreneurship, which he intends to use to create new opportunities for artists within the dance community. During his time at USC, Casey was mentored by JA Collective and continues to collaborate with them internationally, performing and competing in events such as MASDANZA in the Canary Islands and the Choreography 38 International Competition in Hannover, Germany. In 2024 and 2025, he also performed with half•alive on their “Conditions of a Punk” and “Persona” international tours across the United States, Europe, the United Kingdom, and Australia.
