Youth Grants Policies 2025

In order to maximize the impact of available foundation funds, the foundation board has decided Youth Grants will be only awarded to individual residents within the United States of America at this time.  Requests from individuals who are outside of the States will usually not be considered.

How to participate:

Read the rules of Entry and make sure to comply with all the requirements.  All participants must be within ages 9-18.

Rea

> The foundation will not make grants to any organizations or schools.

> The foundation will make grants to dancers who applied as an individual only, without any organization or school.

> Past recipients will return detailed documentations to demonstrate that the grant used has fulfilled the Foundation's desired mission and requirements towards the individual.  Failure to provide such information will naturally eliminate past recipient to apply for a second year of grant awards.  Documentation will need to be sent to Wonder Youth by 12/31/2024 or prior to the deadline of Youth Grants 2025.

> Grants will be based on the board's belief that such grants are important to the individual's growth, enabling the capacity of the individual's needs in pursuing their dance future in classic ballet and contemporary repertoire.

Conditions of Entry:

Ballet

> Complete the online application form.  No email applications will be accepted.

> Participants will need to upload 3 separate videos.  All exercise videos need to be recorded within 3 months.

- 1 barre exercise video.  Include Plié, Tendu, Rond de jambe par terre, Fondu, Adagio, Grand battements.

- 1 centre exercise video.  Include Adagio, Tendu, Pirouettes, Petite allegro, Grand allegro.

- 1 classical variation. Refer to Ballet Repertoire pages for age-appropriate variation guidelines. Variation video can be a stage performance or studio pre-recorded.    Recorded video must be performed within 2024.

-Photograph(s) of yourself. Include arabesque and a la seconde. 

Contemporary

> Complete the online application form.  No email applications will be accepted.

> Participants will need to upload 2 separate videos.  All exercise videos need to be recorded within 3 months.

- 1 thirty-second improvisation. 

- 1 contemporary repertoire.  Should display musicality, dynamics, and creative interpretation. Video can be a stage performance or studio pre-recorded. 

Recorded video must be performed within 2024.
